E. P. Connell Award Presented to Dorris Vice President

Dave McCarthy, P. E., was presented the prestigious E. P. Connell Award at the annual American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) meeting last month in Tucson, Arizona. Dave is Vice President, Engineering, of the Dorris Company, Inc., and is the Chairman of the Gear Rating Committee of the AGMA.

The award is a memorial to Edward P. Connell, an outstanding gear engineer and an active and wise counselor to AGMA. It is presented on rare occasions to candidates who are bringing about important advancements in the industry.

The award was presented by Arlin Perry, Chief Operating Officer of the Dorris Company, Inc., and Vice President of the Technical Division of the AGMA.

Dorris Company, Inc., is a St. Louis based, privately held manufacturer of gear drives. The company has a significant technical influence in the gear manufacturing community, as evidenced by this award of distinction and the leadership positions held by its officers.
