	Why did Dorris get the order? The Dorris drive fit into the existing envelope, it was price competitive, it was available with reasonable lead time and there was a good relationship between the Dorris distributor and the aluminum processor.

	Details of original drive: 75hp Gearbox (Falk In Line – approx. 20.93:1) through R.C. drive (approx. 4:1)
	Details of Dorris replacement drive: 507TR80 with 4 15/16" bushing and Scoop Motor Mount for 365T
	How has the Dorris drive performed, enhanced, simplified, condensed, etc. the customer’s overall drive package: By eliminating troublesome belt drive, improved efficiency, eliminated maintenance of belt tensioning or untimely breakage.
	Why did Dorris get the order? Improved efficiency, eliminated belt drive. Also competitively priced. Old drive was messy (oil case for chain).

Details of equipment: Cooling conveyor rolls on roofing shingle line

Details of original drive:
Six rolls, three each driven by 10hp dc motor and gearbox with complicated chain drive to each roll.
Speed range 19.5 to 210 rpm.

Details of Dorris replacement drive:
Dorris 215TR10 with c-face input drilled and tapped for face mounting
Individual 5hp ac motors with inverters

How has the Dorris drive performed, enhanced, simplified, condensed, etc. the customer’s overall drive package: The drive has performed great. It allowed the customer to eliminate one roll bearing, the chain drive and the chain guard. It also gave customer speed control of each roll.

Why did Dorris get the order? Simpler drive – Elimination of component parts – Less maintenance, easier to change rolls. Better individual control of each roll’s speed.
